Safeguarding

Some of the people we advise are vulnerable, whether because of their age, their circumstances, or the situation that has brought them to us. This page sets out our approach to safeguarding.

Who This Policy Protects

  • Vulnerable adults
  • Children
  • Vulnerable immigration clients, including those affected by exploitation, abuse or coercion

Recognising and Reporting Concerns

Staff are trained to recognise signs of safeguarding concern during client contact, and to escalate them promptly through an internal process. Where a concern involves immediate risk, staff are directed to contact the appropriate emergency services or statutory safeguarding authority without delay, alongside internal escalation.

External Referral

Where appropriate, concerns are referred to the relevant external safeguarding authority, in line with statutory safeguarding frameworks for adults and children.

Confidentiality and Records

Safeguarding concerns are handled with appropriate confidentiality, and records are kept in line with our Data Protection policy, shared only with those who need to know in order to protect the individual.

Training

Staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role, refreshed periodically as part of our compliance framework.
