We identify and manage conflicts of interest so that our advice, and our business relationships, remain independent and trustworthy.
Identification and Disclosure
Staff are required to identify and disclose any situation where a personal, professional or commercial interest could conflict, or appear to conflict, with their duty to a client or to Morgan Smith Immigration.
Client Conflicts
Where advising one client could conflict with our duty to another, we assess the situation before accepting or continuing the instruction, and decline or manage it appropriately.
Professional and Commercial Conflicts
This includes outside business interests, personal relationships with clients or suppliers, and any situation where a staff member could benefit personally from a decision made on behalf of the business.
Procurement Conflicts
In tender, RFQ and framework processes, we disclose any relevant relationship with the commissioning body or its staff that could reasonably be seen as a conflict.
Management and Records
Identified conflicts are escalated to management, a decision is recorded on how the conflict is managed or the matter is declined, and records are retained as part of our governance framework.
